Scottish Dance Bands: In Scotland “ceilidhs” are lively parties involving traditional music, dancing and drinking. Some well known dances associated with ceilidhs include Gay Gordons, Canadian Barn Dance, Military Two Step and Strip the Willow. Many of the dances have particular tunes associated with them, often played by bands featuring instruments such as fiddle and accordion.
