Reggae:
Reggae is a style of music developed in Jamaica often associated with the Rastafarian religion. Reggae is founded upon its rhythm style, consisting of regular chops on the off beat usually played by the rhythm guitarist. There are various reggae nights throughout the country in venues such as the Bongo Club in Edinburgh. Reggae influences have in recent years been combined with Celtic music by the likes of Paddyrasta. |
