Country: Country emerged in the United States in the 1930's and was strongly influenced by the blues. The Clutha Vaults in Glasgow often stages bluegrass at the weekend. More mainstream country venues include Glasgow's Grand Ole Opry. There are a number of Country Festivals in Scotland each year including Dumfries and Galloway's Creetown Country Music Festival.
