About The Nukes
|
Out of the icy depths of the North Sea, a slow methodical rumbling began around 2 years ago, and with it came the start of a new surf sound. Slowly it gathered momentum, rode the currents and hitched a lift on the back of the biggest wave ever to hit the East coast of Scotland. The Nukes emerged onto the shores of Edinburgh with a sound both new and instantly recognisable, infecting the youth of Scotland with the jungle/surf dance craze “The March Of the Guamji”.
The music caught the ears of three burlesque dancers who came along to the shows , renamed themselves The Missiles, and began performing alongside the band adding some go-go style to the gigs.
But, not content within their own shores they took off to Ireland to spread the surf word teaming up with The Chalets and The 5.6.7.8’s along the way . Soon they had moved on to London to record their next L.P. at the world famous Toerag studios, and are now armed and dangerous with 12 bullets of original energy, ready to spit out at unsuspecting audiences wherever they go.
So get ready for your hips to shake, your fillings to rattle, and your limbs to twitch along to the Kings of the Scottish garage surf scene The Nukes.
