"Visitors to the island sang their socks off at the Sessions in the Hotel and some travelling musicians added variety and enjoyment to the festival. Nick's cittern playing was a pleasure". Review of Colonsay Folk Festival www.glasgowwestend.co.uk.

"Nick, introducing his latest album, The Wishing Tree. The title comes from a trip down the Western Isles and includes a walk to the actual Wishing Tree at the Windy Pass, south of Oban. This is a deceptive album, as a cursory glance reveals titles one recalls from well-refreshed undergraduate gatherings - but do not pass by; Nick suffuses weel-kent, perhaps even well-worn songs, like "The Lea Rig" and "The Bonny Lass O' Fyvie", with rare emotion and power.". Review "The Scots Magazine" July 2008.

Nick has appeared at several folk clubs throughout Scotland including, Chapelton Acoustic Music Club, Falkirk Folk Club, Rowantree Folk Club, Linlithgow Sessions, Clydesdale Folk Club, Stonehouse Folk Club and Balerno Folk Club. He has also supported Dick Gaughan at The Corn Exchange, Biggar and has appeared at the Biggar Little Festival.

Nick has recently been a guest on the Sunday Session on 1530AM Celtic Music Radio
