London-Irish singer-songwriter Bill Hickey based in Benbecula, Western Isles off the west coast of Scotland, Bill has been writing and performing his own material since the mid 1990s.
The track ‘Faraway Girl’ caused quite a stir across the country when it was distributed exclusively to UK radio stations as a sample of Bill Hickey’s work. The track received extensive radio-play from local BBC radio stations including BBC Radio Scotland, Cumbria, Newcastle, Cleveland, Merseyside and Wiltshire; independent stations such as Isles FM, Moray Firth FM, Central FM, Heartland FM, Oban FM, Tay FM, Waves Radio; as well as the mighty Radio Caroline. Many stations played the track day after day for many weeks.
