About Caim

Scotland's Heather Innes and Ireland's Jacynth Hamill sing together as 'Caim a capella Celtic Duo'. The duo was born when Heather invited Jacynth to sing with her and to research and arrange most of the music for their first album, 'Caim, Sung Prayers in the Celtic Tradition'. Their concerts feature a mix of sung prayers with traditional Scottish and Irish songs, stories and dance.

Heather lives near Dunkeld on the river Tay in Scotland. She tours extensively with duo Heather Innes and Ciaran Dorris, as a solo singer, and with 'Caim'. The British Isles, Ireland, mainland Europe, Australia, and North America (both Canada and the USA) feature regularly in her (and Caim's) performing itinerary. She has several excellent solo recordings to her credit as well as recordings with her other bands.

Jacynth, born and brought up in Northern Ireland, currently lives in Belfast. She has always been involved in singing, featuring as soloist on several Corrymeela Singers' recordings and on their British, Irish and European tours. In addition to her folk-music interest, Jacynth is an active member of Ceol le Céile, a cross-community choir. She sings at conferences and church services, runs workshops and helps with a children's choir.
