About Alistair Russell

I've been playing professionally for approaching 30 years now, notably for a 13-year stretch (no time off for good behaviour) with Scotland's Battlefield Band. I sing loads of traditional material, some of my own songs and some by various other songwriters.
Since leaving the band, I've divided my time between gigging, running my own acoustic studio, tour management and live festival sound crew jobs.
My most recent album is A19 - it seems to sum up what my music is about - melodic, simple, warm and committed.
