Ali "Beag" MacLeod comes from Achnahaird in the far North West Highlands of Scotland, and this vibrant recording highlights his traditional Highland 2 row button melodeon playing. Gaelic and Scottish melodies are interspersed with a selection of All's own compositions which reveal his great appreciation of Gaelic singers, pipers, fiddlers and accordionists. Many musicial friends of Coigach joined him for the sessions in Achiltibuie; piper Al Fraser, fiddler Fraser McNaughton, Mairearad Green on accordion, singer Sandy "Boots" MacLeod and Kevin Macleod on bouzouki.
