The band take their name from their singer pronounced: Orsa. A very sophisticated and entrancing sound - the music Clannad might have made if they had hung around with the 808 State.

ÅsA form an electrifying combination of haunting vocals and unique soundscapes. Their live appearances are augmented by the mysterious Baz .

Åsa Seljestad writes the lyrics and casts cool vocals over a lush soundscape you could easily just “sink into”. Always “loving it large “on stage, she provides lots of pizzazz .

Her vocal style has been likened to that of Alison Goldfrapp crossed with Beth Gibbons and with a pinch of Kate Bush on one of her quieter days.

Producer Alex Tronic (Famous for his recordings for U.K Trance Label Koyote Records ) composes the music and presses all the right creative buttons.

ÅsA enjoy playing live and have played at various U.K venues and festivals. They consider it important to show critics and cynics alike that Electronic music can be performed live to the highest standard and not only just recorded and kept for the studio. The band have also scored music for film and their album is picking up Global Radio play.
